Tata Motors is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company with its headquarters in Mumbai, India, and a member of the Tata Group. Tata Motors have auto manufacture and assembly plants in Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Sanand, Dharwad, Pantnagar, and Pune. It was founded in 1945 and manufactured its first commercial vehicle in 1954 in collaboration with Daimler-Benz AG and then entered the passenger vehicle market in 1991 with Tata Sierra as its first indigenous automobile.
